Looking for that hand-held look but your footage was shot on a tripod?  Didn’t want to risk shooting your film “hand-held”, well you can do it in post!  Here is some camera tracking from hand-held camera, tracked and parented to a null ready for you to use.  Simply open in After Effects, bring your footage in and pick whip (Parent) your footage to the Tracking Layer.  Depending on your footage you may have to scale or motion tile the edges to hide gaps.  Check out the tutorial on http://www.27FX.com.

When we started the production of REUE we all knew that we would run into some challenges, one of the biggest ones was creating a European look with our Utah footage.  The photo above is a test at camera tracking and matte painting.  We had no budget to film outside of Utah, so we brought Germany to us!  Working with our cinematographers we kept the horizon line above the actors heads.  By doing this we are able to motion track and add in a matte painting to enhance the background.  Its coming along guys, be ready for the release of REUE this summer.  For more details check out our Fanpage.
